Come on man, a Yahoo! group for your blog is useless. You'd be much better off publishing feeds for your blog-- add a link to the Atom feed already published by Blogger to your page and use Feedburner to create feeds of different RSS formats.
Give that a try, Feedburner even gives you stats on subscribers to your feed.
